Race Day Guide

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup will be on race day at Trailblazer Park from 8:30 to 9:45 am. Only the team captain will need to check in. Captains will pick up the entire team packet and timing chip for the race.

Event Parking

There are multiple lots onsite and nearby where teams can park.  You can also view our custom Google Site Map of the start/finish area and course.

What to Bring

Small (10'x10') pop-up tents are allowed. Tents will need to be staked or weighted down if wind speeds exceed 10 mph.

Camping Chairs, Blanket/Tarp, Reusable Water Bottles (We have a 500 Gallon Water Tank On-Site), Change of Clothes & Shoes, Foam Roller, Massage Gun, Portable Phone Charger

What Not to Bring

No Outside Alcohol, Vapes/Cigarettes/Cigars, Drones

Timing Chip

At packet pickup, each team will receive a timing chip and a neoprene wristband holder. The chip should be worn on the wrist during your leg of the relay. It will be passed from runner to runner to track split times for each segment. Once your final runner crosses the finish line, they’ll hand the timing chip back to our event staff.

The Race

Each team's first runner will start at 10 am and run the 6-mile route. The first runners will have a staggered start lasting about 3 minutes. When the first runner is close to the finish line, the team's bib number will be announced at the transition chute just past the finish line. Once your team number is announced, runner two can enter the transition zone and wait for their teammate to finish. Once finished, the first runner will hand off the timing chip to the second runner and then exit the transition zone. The second runner will then run the 5-mile loop and hand off to runner three. This process will be repeated for subsequent legs, with each runner passing the timing chip off to the next runner. Your final runner will turn in the timing chip once they complete the 1-mile loop.

Course Safety & Directions

Most of the course will be on the Swamp Rabbit Trail. All runners should run on the right and pass on the left. The course is not closed to other users, so be prepared for other trail users during your run. There are a few road crossings on the trail. Look for police instructions as you cross those roads. Each leg is an out-and-back route with on-course signage to help with directions. Look for green directional yard signs and red signs for each turnaround location.

We love your kids and dogs, but strollers and pets will not be allowed on the race course due to course limitations and participant safety. There is plenty of room at the start/finish area for supervised children and pets to wait for you as you run.

Medals

Each team will receive the team medals in its team packet. We recommend placing the medal on your teammate after they finish their final leg of the day.

On-Site Food, Drink, & Vendors

Boyos Burgers and Uncle Luke's food trucks will be on-site, as well as a complimentary beer or N/A drink for all runners. Additional beer will be available for purchase. Local vendors and sponsors will also be on-site during the event.

Restrooms

Portable toilets will be on-site near the start/finish line. Please allow outgoing runners priority in portable toilet lines. There are also restrooms in two locations at Trailblazer Park - one located next to the pavilion and another located next to the track.

Awards

Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 teams in each category. Awards will be announced around 2 pm.

Shirt Size Exchange

Event shirts will be available to exchange for a different size in the Ville to Ville Merchandise Tent after 11 am.

Post Race

Teams are encouraged to hang out at Trailblazer Park, eat lunch, drink, and socialize after they are done. All teams will finish between 12 and 2:30 pm, so stick around, make new friends and enjoy a Fall Saturday in Greenville.
