Timing Chip
Each team must pick up their timing chip from 8:30-9:45 am on the morning of the race from the start line. The timing chip will be in a neoprene sleeve and can be worn on your wrist while running. The timing chip will be passed to each runner so that splits for each leg can be recorded. Your final runner will turn in your timing chip to the event staff when complete.
The Race
Each team's first runner will start at 10 am and run the 6 Mile Loop. The first runners will have a staggered start lasting about 5 minutes. When the first runner is close to the finish line, the team's bib number will be announced at the transition chute just past the finish line. Once your team number is announced, runner two can enter the transition zone and wait for their teammate to finish. Once finished, the first runner will hand off the timing chip to the second runner and then exit the transition zone. The second runner will then run the 5 Mile Loop and hand off to runner three. This process will be repeated for subsequent legs, with each runner passing the timing chip off to the next runner. Your final runner will turn in the timing chip once they complete the 1-mile loop.

Course Safety & Directions
Most of the course will be on the Swamp Rabbit Trail. All runners should run on the right and pass on the left. The course is not closed to other users, so be prepared for other trail users during your run. There are just a few road crossings on the trail. Look for police instructions as you cross those roads. Each leg is an out & back route with on-course signage to help with directions. Look for green directional yard signs and red signs for each turn-around location. You can also utilize our custom Google Course & Site Map during the day. Select which leg you are running to see the route in Google Maps.
We love your kids and dogs, but strollers and pets will not be allowed on the race course due to course limitations and participant safety. There is plenty of room at the start/finish area for supervised children and pets to wait for you as you run.
Medals
Each team will receive your team medals in your team packet. We recommend placing the medal on your teammate after they finish their final leg of the day.
On-Site Food, Drink & Vendors
Holland Park has two restaurants (Home Team BBQ and Greektown Express) on site and we will have one food truck (Local Pie) for you to grab lunch and hang out after the race. Each participant will get one complimentary drink sponsored by Double Stamp Brewery and the Ville to Ville Foundation. Just turn in the ticket at the bottom of your team bib at Double Stamp for a draft beer or at the Ville to Ville merchandise tent for a non-alcoholic option.
Restrooms
Portable toilets will be on-site near the start/finish line. Please allow outgoing runners priority in portable toilet lines.
Awards
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 teams in each category. There will also be a special award for the team with the most Ville to Ville spirit and for best Ville to Ville social media team! Awards will be announced around 2 pm.
Shirt Size Exchange
Event sweatshirts will be available to exchange for a different size in the Ville to Ville Merchandise Tent after 11 am.
Post Race
Teams are encouraged to hang out at Holland Park after they are done, eat lunch, have a drink, and socialize. College football games will be on TV's at Double Stamp Brewery and Home Team BBQ. All teams will finish between 12 and 2:30 pm, so stick around, make new friends and enjoy a Fall Saturday.
